Arts Night at the Pub will be this Thursday, Feb. 8th from 5-8 PM at Dempsey’s Pub in Watertown.   An Art Talk interview of Kaylyn and Christine will begin about 6:45 PM. Featured this month are visual artist Kaylyn Welch of Watertown and author Christine Major Wevik of Beresford.

Kaylyn’s artwork features nature themes and mixed media.  She also often  incorporates landmarks and memories of Watertown’s history into her works.  Christine will highlight her most recent book. “Vacant Eyes” is a story about a young SD farm wife who survives a brutal attack to find she has acquired the ability to “see” memories locked inside the walls of old abandoned houses. She decides to use her newfound gift to search for her best friend who went missing 16 years earlier, and in the midst, discovers her own unsolved attack and her friend’s disappearance may be related.  Christine is also the author of  “It’s Only Hair,” a humorous, self-help book about living and coping with baldness.
